Sarah Pautz Pescasio
A Texas native, Sarah Pautz Pescasio began her training at 3 years old and continued at the Houston Ballet Academy on full scholarship before graduating with distinction in 2005 from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She has danced professionally with Houston Ballet II, Tulsa Ballet, Bejart Ballet Lausanne, Ballet de l’Opera National de Bordeaux and as the original principal dancer for Ballet San Antonio. Her repertoire includes Giselle, Cinderella, Firebird, Don Quixote, Coppelia, The Nutcracker, Le Corsaire, Swan Lake, Carnival of the Animals, Le Spectre de la Rose, Les Noces, Le Sacre du Printemps, La Esmeralda, Romeo and Juliet, Dracula, Flower Festival in Genzano, Joffrey’s Pas des Déesses, Sleeping Beauty, Onegin, Peter Pan, Billy the Kid and Balanchine’s’ Valse Fantasie, Serenade, Concerto Barocco and Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux.
Ms. Pautz has been teaching and coaching the next generation of dancers for 14 years. She has participated in the teacher’s workshop at CPYB and follows their training fundamentals. She also draws upon her background in the French style to emphasize purity of technique and individual artistry. She has former students who are currently in professional and pre-professional track programs at numerous major companies across the country. She was previously the Associate Artistic Director at the Ballet Conservatory of South Texas and Artistic Director of her own school. Ms. Pautz moved to Raleigh in 2019 and in addition to teaching enjoys spending time with her family, working in real estate, and dancing for fun!
