Dear RSB Community,
For the first time in thirty eight years The Raleigh School of Ballet will not present the Student Performance–our annual celebration that showcases the work the students have done during the year. This performance offers our students their first opportunity to be on stage, our parents the opportunity to see their children shine, and final moments for the RSB senior to be together and dance. As we applaud the hard work of all our students, training with focus and enthusiasm even during these difficult times, we want to specifically acknowledge the accomplishments and dedication of our RSB seniors: Eleanor Campbell, Sarah Deming, Sarah Skergan, and Sarah Wooster. It’s always bittersweet to say goodbye to our graduates. This year is that much more difficult, since we will not have the opportunity to see them perform in RDT’s Spring Repertoire or the RSB Student Performance. These are four remarkable young women and we look forward to honoring them by presenting a video next month highlighting them in excerpts from Ms. Galdy’s ballet, Whimsy.
We are all looking forward to returning to classes at RSB. The health and safety of RSB families, faculty, and staff are the guiding forces behind reopening the school’s building for in-person classes. As the government allows phase one opening up, we believe that there is still not enough clear information. Even with the guidelines and protocols in place we are concerned that we cannot safely open the studio in the next month. With this in mind we scheduled both children and adult classes, maintenance classes and RSB Summer Intensive Reconfigured. All are online programs.

July & August
We are still planning adult and children’s classes, workshops and intensive programs at The Raleigh School of Ballet studios and/or online via Zoom.
We are implementing an online program through Akada for fall registration. Beginning Monday, June 1st you will be able to login to Akada to register for classes. Please email email@example.com for class placements, tuition and registration information.
We thank you all. Your continuous support allows us to maintain our exceptional faculty throughout these difficult times as well as plan for the future. We miss seeing everyone in person and we continue to plan for the day when we are able to be together in one place!
Stay Safe & Well!
