Children’s Division Ages 6 – 18

Levels in the Children’s Program are finely tuned for maximum progress.  Each level is guided by an age-appropriate syllabus developed by the faculty to ensure logical progression throughout their years of training.  Students are evaluated for proper placement by the faculty and directors in regular meetings throughout the year. Emphasis is placed on muscle memory, developing strong healthy bodies and pure clean technique. Quality of movement, movement theory and musicality is introduced in the beginning levels and is refined as the student advances and matures.

Professional Division Ages 10 – 18

The Professional Division is a scholarship program for students who demonstrate potential for a career in dance. Admission is by audition. Students follow an intensive schedule of classes including ballet, pointe, boy’s class and contemporary technique.  Professional Division students perform with Raleigh Dance Theatre and are frequently invited to perform with Carolina Ballet.  Many have gone on to professional careers with Carolina Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Aspen/ Santa Fe Ballet, National Ballet of Flanders and Stuttgart Ballet among others.
